About Us
Large Animal Medicine and Surgery, PA was opened on January 1, 1980. Dr. Andy Gardner began the practice as a mobile clinic for large animals in the Salisbury area treating horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and exotic animals. The practice grew and in 1986 a state-of-the-art hospital facility was built to allow for more in-depth medicine and surgery.

The hospital has an equine treatment area with stocks, laboratory, and surgery/recovery suite. There are stalls for hospitalized patients as well as an isolation area. The hospital also has a cattle area with a chute system.
